Armed attack | Leader of “Deir Ezzor Military Council” survives assassination attempt in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that two unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on the military vehicle which the leader of the SDF “Deir Ezzor Military Council” was traveling in. The attack, which took place in Jadidat Ekaydat town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, casued material damage only.

On March 11, SOHR activists said that gunmen, believed to be of ISIS cells, assassinated an employee of the Agricultural Association of Deir Ezzor Civil Council, by shooting him with a pistol while he was leaving the mosque in Al-Ji’a village in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, which is controlled by Syria Democratic Forces.
