Death toll update | Four children among seven people killed in explosion of ammunition in Turkish-backed fighter’s house in Ras Al-Ain
Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have obtained new details on the explosion which took place at midnight in Ras Al-Ain city (Sere Kaniye) which is under the control of Turkish forces and factions operating under the banner of “Peace Spring” operations room in Al-Hasakah countryside.
According to SOHR sources, the explosion occurred in the place where ammunition has been stored in a house in the city, when a grenade exploded by mistake as three Turkish-backed fighters were checking the ammunition, which resulted in the explosion of the ammunition as well. The explosions resulted in the death of the three fighters, one of whom was living in the house, two sons of the fighter who lived in the house and two other children in a neighbouring house. Moreover, several other people sustained various injuries, including that fighter’s wife who was seriously injured, amid reported of more fatalities under the rubble.
SOHR activists have just reported hearing an explosion in Ras Al-Ain city (Sere Kaniye) which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in Al-Hasakah countryside. According to SOHR sources, the explosion took place in a house in Al-Sejn street near the civil police headquarters, which killed a man and his two sons and injured the wife seriously. However, the nature of the explosion remained unknown.
