It’s been a decade since the start of Syria’s civil war. The conflict still shows no signs of abating. The death toll is at nearly 400,000 according to the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Around 22,000 children are amongst the dead. Wang Jin, associate professor with the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at the Northwest University of China, shared his views.
