While searching for wild truffles | Four members of same family shot dead in eastern Aleppo

SOHR sources say that four members of one family, the father, mother, a young man and a young woman were shot dead by unknown assailants, believed to be Iranian militiamen operating in eastern Aleppo countryside, where they were found dead in the desert of the village of Al-Mohsen, south of the city of Maskana, while searching for wild truffles in the desert.

Yesterday, reliable sources informed SOHR that a group of some 16 civilians were attacked while they were going to search for truffle in Homs countryside. The group headed yesterday evening to Jabal Al-Bel’as area in Homs countryside, near the administrative border with Hama, where they were attacked by unknown gunmen. It is not known yet if the gunmen are affiliated to ISIS or regime and Iranian-backed militias which are present in the area.

According to SOHR sources, the death of three people and injury of six others were conformed, while the fate of the remaining seven people remained unknown.

  

Since early January 2019, Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 115 persons, including 45 women and six children, who were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
