Second anniversary of defeating ISIS in Syria | The International Coalition and SDF organize ceremony in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: As the Syrians mark the second anniversary of the elimination of ISIS, as a controlling power in Syria, after defeating the organization in its last stronghold in Al-Baghouz town by the International Coalition and Syria Democratic Forces, the Coalition and SDF organized a ceremony today in Al-Omar oil field in Theban town in the far eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, commemorating the second anniversary of the liberation of Al-Baghouz town.

 

It is worth noting that the ceremony was attended by the deputy of the US Special Envoy for Syria, a delegation of the International Coalition, SDF representatives, join chefs of civil councils, members and representatives of municipalities and civil associations in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, several residents and dignitaries of Al-Baghouz town.

 

During the ceremony, speeches were given and SDF performed a parade, while the International Coalition honoured SDF members and commanders, SDF civil and military councils in Deir Ezzor, and the “Martyrs’ Families Council”. The representative of the International Coalition have confirmed the Coalition continued support to SDF, so that they would able to eliminate ISIS cells in Deir Ezzor province.
