Military escalation | Turkish forces renew shelling Ain Issa countryside

Al-Raqqh Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored renewed rocket fire by Turkish forces and their proxies on Ain Issa area in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. The Turkish rockets hit positions in Hawashan village in Ain Issa countryside, but no casualties have been reported. The renewed bombardment comes to interrupt the tense calm prevailing the region, after the Turkish military escalation in the past few days. Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a young female affected by the injuries she sustained in earlier Turkish bombardment on Al-Hadariyat village in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa in northern Al-Raqqah.

 

On March 21, SOHR activists have documented a spike in the number of fatalities among SDF fighters who were killed in Sayda in Ain Issa countryside, as five SDF fighters were killed in bombardment and clashes with Turkish forces and their proxy factions on the village’s frontlines.

 

While on March 19, SOHR activists documented the death of a child affected by the injuries he sustained in earlier Turkish bombardment on Al-Hadariyat village in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa in northern Al-Raqqah.
