For the third day in a row | Regime forces continue to close two crossings linking areas under their control to SDF-held areas in Al-Raqqah, while civilians stranded at the crossings suffer from tragic conditions

SOHR sources say that the security checkpoints of the regime continue to close two crossings connecting areas under their control to SDF-held areas in Raqqa province, preventing civilian buses and trucks loaded with food and goods from passing, while civilians stranded at the crossings suffer from tragic conditions.

SOHR activists have reported seeing civilians stranded at the crossings waiting in the open to be allowed to cross near regime checkpoints. Meanwhile, the reasons behind the closure of these two crossings remained unknown.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that regime forces closed two crossings linking areas under their control to SDF-held areas in Al-Raqqah province. The first crossing is between the SDF-controlled village of Al-Bo’asi and the regime-controlled village of Shu’aib Al-Zakar in the western countryside of Al-Raqqah, and it is also located to the west of Al-Tabaqah nearly 40 kilometres away from Al-Raqqah city centre.

While the second crossing is Al-Raqqah main crossing on the road between Al-Raqqah and Al-Sallamiyah to the southern countryside of Al-Tabaqah city.
