Armed attack | One person killed and others injured in southern Al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that a man was killed and other people of the same family sustained various injuries in an armed attack yesterday by unknown gunmen on a house in Um Rumman village in the southern countryside of Al-Suwaidaa. While, the reasons behind the attack and identities of the attackers, who escaped just after the attack, remained unknown.

On March 18, SOHR sources reported that a man from Tha’la village in Al-Suwaidaa countryside was killed, while another man was injured due to a disagreement between several gunmen evolved to gunfire in front of a petrol station in Al-Hayyat village over the priority to fuel up. The murderer managed to escape, amid growing popular concern of possible armed clashes in light of the proliferation of arms among the residents.

It is worth noting that regime-controlled areas are struggling with acute fuel crisis and the escalating congestion in front of petrol stations, along with shortage of many essential products supposed to be provided by regime government via smart cards.
