ISIS resurgence | Armed cells roam market of al-Al-Busayrah city, east of Deir ez-Zor

Deir ez-Zor governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists from the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, say that four masked gunmen roamed yesterday evening on motorcycles in Ishreen street and the market of the city of Al-Busayrah, east of Deir ez-Zor.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the masked people are members of the “Islamic State” and roamed with their machine guns, which clearly indicate that the “Islamic State” is still alive and kicking.

Yesterday, SOHR sources from the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, said that members of a military patrol of the Syrian Democratic Forces attacked several people who were planting IEDs on the outskirts of the town of Al-Shuhayl on the road of Al-Omar oil field.

However, the people managed to escape, leaving behind motorcycles and IEDs, after which SDF stormed a house in the western area of Al-Shuhayl owned by an oil trader in the area, but he was not in the house. While SDF was leaving the place they were shot from several sides, but no casualties have been reported.
