Military patrols | U.S. patrol roams oil fields area in rural al-Malikiya (Derek) in north-eastern Syria

Al-Hasakah Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored US forces conducting a patrol of four Bradley armoured vehicles in the village of Khana Sri. The patrol headed to the oil fields area in al-Kujarat area in the southern city of Al-Malikiya (Derek) near the Syrian-Turkish border in al-Hasakeh countryside.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported seeing a US patrol of four vehicles touring in Ain Diwar area in Al-Hasakah countryside, near the Syria-Turkey border, along with the flight of two helicopters over the area. The patrol comes as a part of routine movements by US forces in the region.
