The regime forces attempt to secure the vicinity of Jazal gas field in the eastern countryside of Homs

Homs Province:

Violent clashes are still taking place between IS militants against the regime forces and allied militiamen around the gas field of Jazal in the eastern countryside of Aleppo in an attempt by the regime forces to keep IS away from the field and secure the vicinity of the field that supplies the oil refineries of Banyas and Homs, and at the same time they secure the gas pipelines that supply the two power plants in Rif Dimashq and Banyas that in turn they supply the regime- held areas. IS could enter the gas field of Jazal yesterday but the regime forces forced them to retreat again this morning after intense airstrikes on the area.

Clashes took places between Jabhat al- Nusra, the rebel and Islamic battalions against the regime forces and allied militiamen around the village of Om Sharshouh in the northern countryside.
