Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour Ain Al-Arab countryside (Kobani)

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that Russian and Turkish forces have run a new joint patrol today in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo. The patrol of five Russian armoured vehicles and four Turkish ones set off from Ashma village on the Syria-Turkey border in the western countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani) and toured several villages and towns, including Mashku, Bayandar, Saftek and Jarqali, before it the Turkish vehicles headed to Turkish territory, while the Russian armoured vehicles returned to their position in the broadcasting centre in the west of Kobani city.

 

On March 15, SOHR sources said that Russian forces conducted a joint patrol with their Turkish counterpart in the countryside of the city of Ain al-Arab (Kobani), east of Aleppo. the patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles, and accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set off from the village of Ashma, west of Ain al-Arab (Kobani), and roamed the villages and towns of Jarekli Fuqani, Jabna, Bayadiya to the village of Zor Maghar, located opposite the town of Jarabulus, which is controlled by Turkish forces and proxy factions on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, and is the last village of the countryside of Ain al-Arab (Kobani).

 

The joint patrol returned to its starting point in the village of Ashma on the Syrian-Turkish border.
