Al-Julani’s promotional campaign of “countering terrorism” | HTS arrests more jihadists in Idlib

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: As Abu Mohammad al-Julani the leader of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham continues his efforts to promote himself as a “counter of terrorism” in HTS-held areas, SOHR sources have reported that HTS security services arrested several jihadists, including a sharia judge, in the past few hours, bringing the number of jihadists arrested from yesterday to nearly 11. this development comes as a part of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham’s security campaign against jihadists.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that security services of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested six jihadists, after storming their houses on the previous day in Idlib city and areas in Al-Qeniyyah, Al-Hamamah and Ya’qoubiyyah in the countryside of Jisr Al-Shoughur in western Idlib. According to SOHR sources, some of the arrested jihadists were of non-Syrian nationalities, while all the arrested are working for “Hurras al-Din” organization which pledges allegiance to al-Qaida.
