East of Ain Issa | Several SDF members injured in Turkish ground shelling on their positions

Al-Raqqah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that three members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were injured in Turkish artillery shelling on SDF positions near Al-Sharrakrak silos, east of Ain Issa in northern Raqqa province. Several areas under the control of SDF were subjected to Turkish artillery shelling this morning, while SDF members managed to withdraw the wounded this evening and transport them to treatment centres.

On April 4, SOHR activists reported clashes in the early hours of Sunday morning on frontlines of Sayda and Mu’allaq in northern Al-Raqqah, between Syria Democratic Forces on one hand, and Turkish forces and their proxy factions on the other, following an attempt by Turkish forces and the factions to sneak to SDF positions. The clashes were accompanied by exchange of shelling. However, SDF managed to foil the infiltration attempt and no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, tense calm prevailed in the region.
