Al-Malikiya countryside (Derek) | U.S. forces conduct routine patrol near Syria-Turkey border

Al-Hasakah governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored, this morning, U.S. forces conducting a routine patrol in the countryside of al-Hasaka. Four armoured vehicles set off from Rubaria airport and headed towards the villages located in al-Malikiya countryside (Derek) near the border with Turkey, while Coalition helicopters were seen flying over the region.

On April 3, SOHR sources said that American vehicles toured in a routine patrol in the oil area of Al-Kujarat in al-Malikiya countryside, and stopped for more than half an hour in the village of Kerziro, south of the town, where there is an oil terminal.

The patrol consisted of two armoured vehicles and five Bradley combat vehicles, after which it returned to its base in the oil town of Rmelan.
