IED attack | Explosion targets Turkish column in Jabal Al-Zawiyah

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that an IED exploded as a Turkish column was passing on the road between Al-Bara and Ihsim areas in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, but no casualties have been reported. SOHR activists had reported seeing the Turkish column, which comprised ten vehicles and armoured vehicles crossing into Syria via Kafr Lusin crossing on the Syria border with Iskenderun region in northern Idlib this morning, heading to Turkish posts and bases in the Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

 

On 23 March, SOHR sources reported an IED explosion in the morning on the road to Al-Mastumah in Idlib countryside, while a Turkish military vehicle was passing in the area. The explosion caused material damage only.

 

While on March 15, SOHR activists documented the injury of two Turkish soldiers in the explosion which targeted a Turkish water truck earlier that day on the outskirts of Idlib city. SOHR sources had said that an IED exploded in a water truck of Turkish forces on the road between Idlib and Sarmin cities in the Al-Sina’a area, burning the Turkish water tank completely.
