Seven Russian jets consecutively target Syrian desert, and number of airstrikes increases to about 75 since the morning

SOHR activists say that seven Russian jets have consecutively targeted the Syrian desert. Russian fighter jets executed some 75 airstrikes since this morning, with the participation of more than 20 fighter jets.

The Russian strikes coincide with combing operations in various areas in Al-Mayadeen desert, west of the Euphrates, by regime forces, National Defense militia and the pro-Russian Palestinian “Al-Quds Brigade” militia, in light of the new campaign launched by these forces, which began a week ago, aimed at combing the area in search of ISIS members. Yesterday, ISIS launched a surprise attack in the desert of al-Mayadeen which led to casualties among regime forces.
