After regime’s demands to the Russians to storm Jasim city | Russian delegation meets with ex-commander

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Reliable sources have informed SOHR that regime forces have demanded the Russians storm Jasim city in the northern countryside of Daraa under the pretext that “there are ISIS members in the city”.

 

In this context, a Russian delegation escorted by members of the Russian-backed 5th Corps paid a visit to the house of a former opposition commander to check the regime’s accusation. However, the ex-commander and other individuals hosted the Russian delegation demanded the release of detainees and the discharge of a top officer in the city’s culture centre.

 

On April 2, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion in Jasim city in the northern countryside of Daraa, caused by an IED explosion in a car which a civilian family was travelling in. The explosion killed a man and his son and injured the rest members of the family, some seriously.

 

While on March 22, SOHR activists documented the death of a young man after being shot by unknown gunmen in Jasim town in the northern countryside of Daraa. According to SOHR sources, the young man had been dissent from regime force during the factions control of Daraa, but after regime forces regained the province, the young man struck a reconciliation deal with regime security services and joined the Military Security Branch.
