Hama | Explosion hits Masyaf countryside, injuring over five children

SOHR sources have reported an explosion, this evening, in Al-Hazanah village in Masyaf countryside in regime-held areas in the western countryside of Hama, which injured six children. However, it is not known so far if the explosion was caused by the explosion of an unexploded shell or a piece of old ordnance.

 

SOHR sources reported earlier this morning an explosion in Al-Iman camp in Azaz area in north Aleppo countryside, caused by grenade explosion in a person while he was tampering with it. The explosion killed the man and injured two others.

 

Moreover, three children sustained serious burns yesterday, as a result of an explosion of a an unexploded shell near al-Nassara Park in Deir Ezzor city.

 

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 507 people, including 77 women and 157 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.

 

Among the total death toll, there are 122 persons, including 47 women and six children, who were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
