ISIS resurgence | Cells attack SDF checkpoint in northern Deir ez-Zor countryside

Deir ez-Zor governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that gunmen, belived to be ISIS cells, attacked with machine guns and RPGs, the Syrian Democratic Forces’s “Al-Khash’e” checkpoint in the village of Al-Jasmi near the town of Al-Soor in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The attack was followed by the explosion of an IED in a SDF car in the area, amid confirmed reports of casualties among the checkpoint members, After the attack, International Coalition helicopters were seen flying over the area in order to comb the northern desert of Deir ez-Zor.
