Ongoing security campaign against jihadists | HTS security services storm village in western Idlib arresting three immigrants

SOHR sources have reported that HTS security services have stormed several houses in Ari village in the west of Idlib city, arresting three foreign immigrants taking them to their security centres. Meanwhile, verbal argument took place during the raid between women and the security members before the members left the village.

 

This development coincides with the ongoing efforts by Abu Mohammad al-Julani the leader of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to promote himself in HTS-held areas by “countering terrorism and eliminating jihadists”.

 

On April 12, SOHR sources reported that security services of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham stormed Kafr Daryan village in the northern countryside of Idlib and clashes with in armed group, including several jihadists, killing a Libyan jihadist and another Tunisian one and arresting others, after nearly an hour of resistance. Meanwhile, the arrested jihadists were taken to HTS security centres. According to SOHR sources, the armed group was accused of “kidnapping and killing the minister of high education and scientific research of the Salvation Government”.
