After young man shot dead by “Asaish” | Tension grows in village east of al-Raqqa

Raqqa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored tension in the village of “Jadid Kaheed” in al-Karama area in eastern countryside of al-Raqqa, where residents cut off roads setting tires on fire and placing stones, in protest against the killing of a young man by members of a patrol affiliated with the Internal Security Forces “Asaish” in the village yesterday.

According to Syrian Observatory sources, the “Asaish” patrol was roaming the village of Jadid Kahed during the curfew, where a group of young men refused to abide by the curfew, then a dispute broke out between them and members of the “Asaish” patrol, which evolved into a brawl that resulted in the death of a young man from the village and the injury of four others.
