Deteriorating security | ISIS cells continues attacks on SDF members in eastern Euphrates

Deir Ezzor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported an armed attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as unknown gunmen on motorcycles opened machinegun fire on the house of a member of the Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Izba village in the north of Deir Ezzor city. However, no casualties have been reported.

 

On the other hand, unknown gunmen believed to be of ISIS cells threw a grenade on a house where SDF members have been stationed in Al-Suwar town in Deir Ezzor countryside, but no casualties have been reported.

 

Yesterday, Observatory activists documented the injury of a civilian shot by unidentified gunmen in Al- Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, in SDF-held areas.

 

On Sunday, SOHR sources reported new details regarding the identity of the man and woman who were killed, a day earlier, in the town of Al- Shuhayl, as reliable sources said that the victims were a man and his wife working for “Al-Birr and Al-Ihssan Charity” operating in Deir Ezzor in the Syrian regime-held areas, and they were on a mission for the charity when they were attacked. The motives and reasons behind their deaths remained unknown.
