Assassination | ISIS cells assassinate SDF intelligence member east of Deir Ezzor
Deir Ezzor province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: As ISIS cells continue their operations in SDF-held areas, the countryside of Deir Ezzor in particular, SOHR activists reported that gunmen have shot dead a civilian from Al-Dahla village, while he was in vegetable market in the town of Thiban in east Deir Ezzor countryside. According to SOHR sources, the victim was a member of SDF intelligence service.
SOHR activist had documented an armed attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning, as unknown gunmen on motorcycles opened machinegun fire on the house of a member of the Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Izba village in the north of Deir Ezzor city. However, no casualties were reported. On the other hand, unknown gunmen believed to be of ISIS cells threw a grenade on a house where SDF members have been stationed in Al-Suwar town in Deir Ezzor countryside, but no casualties were reported.
As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 731 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.
The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 258 civilians including 18 children and 15 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 464 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.
