Al-Qamishli | “Asaish” member killed in attack by regime-backed “National Defense” members on security checkpoint

Al-Hasakah governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a state of security alert in the city of al-Qamishli in Al-Hasakah countryside, by the “Asaish” forces and the regime-backed “National Defense.”

According to sources, members of the “Asaish” checkpoint targeted a car of the “National Defense” as it refused to stop at the checkpoint, which led to security tension between the two sides and the roads leading to the neighbourhood of Tay were cut off.

Moreover, Al-Asaish arrested members of the National Defense, while the National Defense attacked the Asaish checkpoint. Clashes with machine guns took place between the two sides, leaving a member of the Al-Asaish forces dead and others were injured, amid ongoing tension between the two sides.
