Al-Raqqah | Member of Asayish engineering team killed in IED explosion

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that a ember of the engineering team of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) was killed and another member was injured yesterday, as an IED exploded in them while they were trying to dismantle it. The engineering team had received a report of several IEDs planted in Hazema area in northern Al-Raqqah, and the engineering team managed to dismantle three IED before the fourth one exploded in them, while attempting to dismantle it.

 

A few hours ago, SOHR sources reported that gunmen attacked the SDF command centre in al-Busayrah city, east of Deir Ezzor in the early hours of Thursday morning, killing an SDF member and wounding another.

 

Meanwhile, SDF stormed three houses in al-Busayrah after blowing up the doors with blasting caps, arresting six people, a man and three of his sons, one of whom is underage, and two other men. The security campaign coincided with the flight of a Coalition helicopter over the area. While the reasons behind this arrest have been unknown.

 

On Wednesday, SOHR sources said that four ISIS members traveling on motorcycles, gathered and set up a checkpoint near the cultural center in Al-Busayrah city, east of Deir Ezzor, then they headed to an unknown destination.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 733 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 258 civilians including 18 children and 15 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 466 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
