Exchange of fire | A person killed by an Uzbek jihadist in Idlib

Idlib province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have monitored exchange of fire between an Uzbek jihadist and another person, in Al-Dabit neighborhood in the city of Idlib, which is under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, opposition factions and jihadists. According to the sources the person attempted to assassinate the Uzbek, but the jihadist managed to kill him. Other sources reported that the killed man was wearing an explosive belt.

Three days ago, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion on the road between Idlib and Kafriya, near Al-Ram military checkpoint, in areas under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham. The explosion was believed to be caused by the explosion of a landmine in the area, but no casualties were reported. Unconfirmed reported suggested the explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED in a car.

A few days earlier, SOHR sources reported an explosion in areas held by HTS and rebels, caused by the detonation of an IED in a car at the eastern corniche of the city, but no casualties were reported.

This explosion came in light of the ongoing security chaos in areas controlled by the HTS and factions.
