Aleppo protests | Residents of Jabal Sheikh Aqeel demonstrate for the fourth week against Turkish forces

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported seeing tens of residents from Jabal Sheikh Aqeel participating in a demonstration, demanding Turkish forces and civil councils provide compensation for the destruction of their houses, as Turkish forces devastated their houses after the Turks captured the area and constructed a military base in the village which is located in Al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

 

On April 16, SOHR sources reported that residents demonstrated in Jabal Sheikh Aqeel, demanding Turkish forces and civil councils provide compensation for the destruction of their houses, as Turkish forces devastated their houses after the Turks captured the area and constructed a military base in the village which is located in Al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.

 

While on April 3, SOHR sources said that dozens of residents in the area of “Jabal Aqeel” in the city of Al-Bab, east of Aleppo, demonstrated yesterday in front of the Turkish base in the city of Al-Bab, demanding compensation for their homes demolished by Turkish forces after they controlled of the city and established a military base. The demonstrators chanted slogans like “the Turks demolished our homes, the Al-Jabal land is ours and they looted it for military purposes.” After the end of the demonstration, they promised to demonstrate every Friday until they were compensated by the “local council” in the city of Al-Bab and the Turkish government.
