As Russian-sponsored negotiations underway | Commandos forces of Asayish enter Tayy neighbourhood

Al-Hasakah Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported seeing Commandos forces of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) deploying in Tayy neighbourhood in Al-Qamishli city, as tens of armed members entered the neighbourhood to secure it. This development coincides with the ongoing Russian-sponsored negotiations regarding Tayy neighbourhood.

SOHR sources in al-Qamishli city reported earlier today that members of the “National Defense Forces” violated the truce in Halko neighbourhood, by firing live bullets sporadically for a quarter of an hour, using individual and medium weapons, after which helicopters were seen flying over the neighbourhood before the sounds of gunfire stopped.

This development came after the “commander of the National Defense Forces in al-Hasakah” known by his initial as (H.S.) appeared in a video during the past hours, threatening Asayish Forces to attack the neighbourhood of Tayy and regain control of it, as he said “We will recapture this neighbourhood at any costs, even if we have to pay our lives for it. There won’t be a dignity if we don’t recapture the neighborhood.”

A few hours earlier, SOHR sources reported that a Russian military delegation, led by the “commander of the Russian Forces in east of the Euphrates,” arrived in the city of al-Qamishli, from al-Qamishli airport, escorted by members of Asayish Forces and SDF, after discussing developments in the region and trying to reach a final solution and agreement. The delegation roamed the security zone, Hilko and al-Tayy neighbourhoods. The delegation was also escorted by Russian helicopters flying over the area. Meanwhile, tense calm prevailed in the area. It is worth noting that the members of the military security detachment in al-Tayy neighbourhood have returned to their detachment after Asayish Forces took control of the neighbourhood.
