After repeated violations | Tense calm returns to al-Qamishli city

Al-Hasakah province: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have monitored a tense calm prevailing in the city of al-Qamishli in al-Hasakah province, since the early morning hours to date, as no violations were documented during this period. Meanwhile, a regime member was killed and another was injured  after they were targeted in al-Tay neighbourhood in the city.

SOHR reported, on Sunday evening, hearing sporadic gunfire in the southern countryside of Hilko and al-Tay neighbourhoods in al-Qamishli city in al-Hasakah countryside. On the other hand, NDF members targeted, with RPGs, a school in Hilko neighbourhood near the railway, but no casualties were reported.

This development came after a permanent and conditional truce was reached in al-Qamishli, stipulating that NDF would comply with the agreement’s terms and not to breach the truce.

SOHR sources have reported that a new agreement reached between Asayish Forces and the National Defence Forces, under supervision by the Russians and Syria Democratic Forces, as a permanent truce was reached stipulating that NDF would comply with the agreement’s terms and not to breach the truce.

On the other hand, Asayish Forces called upon the residents of al-Tay, who left their houses fleeing from the military escalation in the residential neighbourhoods, to return to their houses from Monday, April 26, after checking security posts to secure their return and check the safety of their properties.
