Deteriorating security in south Syria | Unknown gunmen attack shepherds and loot over ten cows in al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR sources have reported that an armed group has attacked two young men while they were shepherding cattle nearby al-Quraya town in al-Suwaidaa countryside. The attackers looted over ten cows and the money and mobile devices in the shepherds’ possession and beat them, before they escaped. According to local sources, the attackers are of tribes living in areas near the area where the incident took place.

 

On Sunday, SOHR sources reported that a taxi driver sustained various injuries, as unknown gunmen lured him to an area near the distillery in al-Suwaidaa city and shot him with an individual weapon, after they failed to hijack his car.

 

It is worth noting that areas in al-Suwaidaa province witnesses a surge in security chaos, including kidnappings and car theft, in light of the lack of regime’s security measures.
