Turkish side stops pumping water into Euphrates River, while most power generation turbines stopped functioning at Euphrates dam

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the suspension of the majority of electrical turbines on the Euphrates Dam in Raqqa province, as the river water levels dropped to unprecedented levels, due to the ongoing water retention by the Turkish side from the Euphrates River.

According to SOHR activists from the Syrian al-Jazeera area, the environmental crisis is worsening day by day, due to the low water level in the Euphrates River and the damage to livestock and agriculture in the region.
