Popular anger | Residents stage vigil in western Idlib, denouncing the death of old man by Turkish Jandarma

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists in Jisr al-Shughur have documented the death of an old man from al-Zouf village on the Syria border with Iskenderun region, as he was shot by the Turkish border guard forces “Jandarma”, while he was working in his land in the village.

 

Meanwhile, the residents of al-Zouf village staged a vigil this evening, denouncing the death of the old man and the daily violations by the Turkish Jandarma against the residents of the border areas.

 

According to Syrian Observatory statistics, the number of Syrian civilians who have been killed by the Turkish Jandarma since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, has risen to 473 including 86 children under the age of eighteen and 45 females over the age of eighteen.
