Days after a meeting between Russians and town’s dignitaries | Unknown persons draw anti-regime graffiti on Kanaker’s walls in western Ghouta

Rif Dimashq province: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists have monitored graffiti written by unknown persons on some walls in the town of Kanaker in western Ghouta, calling for the release of the detainees in regime’s security prisons. Some graffiti reads, “We want all the detainees back,” “No peace before the release of the detainees.” This comes days after dignitaries and some of the people of Kanakar met with a Russian delegation and regime officers.
On April 24,  SOHR reported that a delegation of the Russian police and several officers of the 4th Division and the regime’s military security service met, in the afternoon, with dignitaries and residents from Kanaker town in the Syrian Trading Association in western Ghouta in Rif Dimashq. According to SOHR sources, the delegation listened to the requests of the residents, including the provision of electricity, lift the strict security measures imposed on Kanaker by easing the checks on travelers from and to the town, the release of prisoners of Kanaker held in regime prisons. The delegation promised to set free the prisoners who are not involved in murders, while the Russians and regime forces has asked the dignitaries who attended the meeting to exert pressure on the town’s young men not to express or participate in any hostile activities during the presidential election, including demonstrations, attacks on regime checkpoint and creating chaos.
