Afrin | Turkish-backed military police arrest several civilians in Sheikh Hadid

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists in Afrin canton, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions,  have reported that a group of the military police stormed several civilian houses, a few days ago, in Hakaja village of Sheikh Hadid district, arresting three civilians for unknown reasons.

On April 28, reliable sources informed SOHR that the “Suleiman Shah Division”, headed by “Abu Amsha”, seized large areas of land and orchards in Sheikh Hadid district in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo a few days earlier.

According to SOHR activists, the faction seized five plots of agricultural land and orchards containing olive trees, owned by people who were displaced from Afrin during the “Olive Branch” operation.

Civil sources in Afrin city have confirmed that a large number of indigenous people of Afrin, who were forced to displace from their areas, recently sold their farmlands, for fear of being completely seized by the Ankara-backed factions.
