Aleppo | Intensive bombardment paves the way to Turkish-backed factions’ attack on Kurdish positions

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported renewed and intensive bombardment by Turkish-backed factions, in the early hours of Saturday morning, which targeted positions in Kurdish-held areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The bombardment was concentrated in the villages of Mayyas, Sawaghankah and Burj Qas, along with fierce clashes in the region. This development comes as a part of an attack by Al-Sham Corps on Kurdish positions, amid confirmed reports of casualties.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported clashes with medium and heavy weapons between Kurdish forces and Turkish-backed factions on the frontline of al-Deghelbash village in the west of al-Bab city in east Aleppo countryside.

On the other hand, Turkish forces renewed their bombardment on Kurdish positions in Ain Daqnah village, along with shelling the perimeter of Menagh military airbase in the northern countryside of Aleppo. No casualties were reported.
