Aleppo | Ground bombardment kills little girl in Afrin, while Turkish forces and their proxies shell Kurdish positions in northern countryside

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported that several rockets hit Afrin city and its outskirts, which are under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions in the north-western countryside of Aleppo. The bombardment resulted in the death of a little girl from the southern countryside of Aleppo. However, it is not known yet if regime forces or Kurdish forces fired these rockets.

 

On the other hand, Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled positions in Kurdish-held areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo, but no casualties have been reported.

 

On April 30, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces and their proxy factions shell, with heavy weapons, the Kurdish-controlled villages of Bainah and Sawaghnah in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, and Mar’anaza and Oqaybah in Sharan district in northern Aleppo. No casualties were reported.

 

A few hours earlier, SOHR activists reported that three rockets hit Al-Sena’a neighbourhood in Afrin city in the north-western countryside of Aleppo, which is under the control of Turkish forces and their proxy factions, but no casualties were reported. It is not known if the rockets were fired by regime forces or Kurdish forces stationed in several areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

 

On April 7, SOHR sources said that two Turkish soldiers were killed in shelling by Kurdish forces, which targeted Turkish military positions in north Aleppo countryside.
