Armed attack | Two Turkish-backed militiamen killed in rural Afrin

Aleppo Province: Syrian Observatory activists have reported an armed attack by unknown assailants, in the early hours of Monday morning, on a checkpoint of a faction operating under the banner of the Turkish-backed “National Army” in Sharran district in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo. Clashes erupted between the attackers and the members stationed at the checkpoint, as the attackers managed to escape after they had killed two members of the Turkish-backed faction.

On April 28, SOHR sources reported the explosion of a military car affiliated to the Turkish-backed faction of “Sultn Murad” in Halloubi al-Sagheer village in Afrin countryside in the north-west of Aleppo. The explosion burned down the car, but no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, it was not known if the explosion was caused by the explosion of a grenade by mistake or the car was targeted with an IED. On the other hand, the engineering teams remotely detonated a car-bomb set to be blown up in Afrin canton.
