Accused of “belonging to ISIS” | SDF arrest seven people in eastern Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor Province: SOHR activists in east Euphrates region have reported that Syria Democratic Forces stormed Hawayij village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor this dawn, arresting seven people, including five displace, for “belonging to ISIS”.

 

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory sources said that members of an SDF patrol arrested a former ISIS member, after storming his house in al-Baghouz town in eastern Deir Ezzor.

 

On April 27, SOHR activists in areas held by Syria Democratic Forces in east Euphrates region monitored a security campaign by SDF in early hours of Tuesday morning, in Hawaij area in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, as several people were arrested, most of whom were accused of belonging to ISIS cells. The campaign was carried out with International Coalition air support. It is worth noting that this was the second security campaign in Hawaij, during which people were arrested, in less than ten days.
