With RPG shell | Unidentified persons attack Turkish military base in Jabal al-Zawiyah

Idlib province: Unidentified gunmen targeted, this dawn, the wall of Turkish military base in the town of Balyoun in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, south of Idlib with RPGs, but no casualties have been reported.

On the other hand, Turkish infantry soldiers continue touring Aleppo-Lattakia highway and off-roads roads around their military posts, searching for landmines that unknown assailants are trying to plant to target Turkish convoys.

It is worth noting that Turkish forces are repeatedly attacked by IEDs and RPGs, as well as armed attacks by unknown persons. Meanwhile,  Turkish forces installed surveillance cameras on M4 “Aleppo – Lattakia” highway, starting from the part near the city of Ariha, south of Idlib, up to Badama district near the city of Jisr al-Shughour in the western countryside of Idlib.

On February 25, SOHR reported targeting of a Turkish vehicle with an RPG shell and an IED on the road between Maarat Misrin and the town of Kafriya  in Idlib countryside.

On February 10, SOHR sources confirmed that a landmine exploded near a Turkish vehicle, as three armoured vehicles were conducting a routine patrol on M4 highway between the areas of Uram Al-Jouz and Ariha in Idlib countryside. However, no casualties were reported. Meanwhile, an organization known as “Al-Tali’a Al-Mujaheda” claimed responsibility of the attack on the Turkish vehicle, as it published pictures showing the explosion.
