Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists in south Syria region have reported growing tensions  over kidnappings in the governorates of Daraa and al-Suwaidaa during the past 24 hours, as the relatives of a kidnapped from Busr al-Harir in Daraa received the body of their son at al-Suwaidaa National Hospital, who was killed after being kidnapped by a kidnapping gang in al-Suwaidaa about five months ago. Gunmen from the village of Nahata in the countryside of Daraa later kidnapped a civilian from the village of Sami’ in the western countryside of al-Suwaidaa, while exercising on Samma-Sami’ road yesterday.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the kidnapped responded by kidnapping a civilian from the village of al-Malihah in the eastern countryside Daraa, who had nothing to do with the incident, while he was on his way to orchards. Furthermore, gunmen kidnapped more than ten civilians from the eastern countryside of Daraa, including farmers and construction workers, while crossing from the western countryside of al-Suwaidaa, demanding the release of the abducted from al-Suwaidaa.

It is worth noting that the governorates of Daraa and al-Suwaidaa in south Syria region have been witnessing repeated kidnappings of civilians, despite the efforts by the residents to defuse the tension in light of the security chaos that is prevalent throughout the country.
