Family fight | Clashes in al-Hasakah countryside leave one dead and others wounded

SOHR sources have reported that a civilian was killed and others were injured, some seriously, in an armed fight between two families of Badina tribe in Tel Karmah village which is located nearly 13 kilometres to the east of al-Darbasiyyah in SDF-held areas in al-Hasakah countryside.

 

According to local sources, the clashes erupted between the two families after a dispute over the overgrazing of sheep of one families in the farmlands of the other.

 

This incident comes in light of the proliferation of weapons and security chaos in the region.

 

In late April, SOHR sources informed SOHR that fierce clashes erupted between Al-Bosariya and Al-Sukhnah tribes in Tel Abyad street in al-Raqqah city centre, which is under the control of SDF and International Coalition. According to SOHR sources in the city, over ten people on both side were injured in these clashes, amid confirmed reported of fatalities.

 

On March 30, SOHR activists documented the death of a person due to an armed fight between two families in Gharnij town, which is under the control of Syria Democratic Forces, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

While on March 3, SOHR sources reported tribal fight in Al-Izbah area in SDF-held areas in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor following disagreement over the investment of an oil well in the region. The clashes resulted in the injury of several gunmen including a commander of “Deir Ezzor Military Council” of the conflicting tribes.
