Aleppo | Fires caused by Turkish bombardment devour tens of hectares of farmlands in Kurdish-held areas

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported outbreak of fires due to bombardment with heavy artillery by Turkish forces and their proxy factions on the outskirts of Um al-Housh village in Kurdish-controlled areas in northern Aleppo. The fires have devoured tens of hectares of farmlands planted with wheat and barley, while the residents could not extinguish these blazes due to the sporadic Turkish bombardment.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled villages in Ain Daqnah, Baylouniyah and other positions in Kurdish-held areas in northern Aleppo. No further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage caused by this bombardment.

SOHR activists reported earlier in the morning exchange of fire with heavy and medium machineguns between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces on Hazwan frontline in the countryside of al-Bab city in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. However, no casualties were reported.
