As large-scale security campaign ends | Four murders carried out by ISIS affiliates in al-Hawl camp

Al-Hasakah province: As the number of attacks in al-Hawl is increasing, a new murder has been documented, as the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists have reported that an Iraqi refugee was shot dead by ISIS affiliates in al-Hawl camp, in the far south-east of al-Hasakah.

It is worth noting that this murder is the fourth since the end of the first phase of the security campaign, which rises fears of the return of escalated murders in al-Hawl camp.

On May 9, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found, at dawn, the body of an Iraqi refugee woman with gunshot wounds in the head in the first section of al-Hawl camp, which is allocated to Iraqi refugees, and the responsibility  falls mainly on ISIS affiliates  in the camp.

On May 8, SOHR activists documented the death of an Iraqi refugee, after being shot by ISIS affiliates in the first section of al-Hawl camp in the south-east of al-Hasakah. It is worth noting that this was the second murder after the end of the first phase of the large-scale security campaign in the camp in early April.

On April 17, SOHR sources reported that ISIS cells assassinated an Iraqi refugee in the first section of al-Hawl camp in al-Hasakah countryside, with a silencer pistol, while two women were injured during the attack.
