With International Coalition support | SDF storm town and village in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, arresting about 20 people

Deir Ezzor province: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor have reported that Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the International Coalition continue their  security campaign in the town of al-Shuhayl for the third day in a row, as SDF-backed military force stormed houses in the town, in the early hours of Thursday morning, arresting seven people, including a family of five members. Meanwhile, another SDF-backed military force stormed the village of al-Zer in the same countryside, arresting 12 people, including a family of at least seven members.

It is worth noting that several people are arrested on charges of “belonging to ISIS”, and they are released later when they are found not related to ISIS.

Yesterday, Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stormed, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, the town of Al-Shuhayl in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor for the second day in a row, arresting six people on charges of “belonging to ISIS”. Meanwhile, International Coalition drones were seen flying over the area.

A day earlier, SOHR sources reported that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and an SDF-backed military group arrested seven civilians in al-Shuhayl town in Deir Ezzor countryside, after storming their houses. According to SOHR sources, the arrested people were civilians and never worked for ISIS.
