Three attacks In 24 hours | One killed and two injured in al-Suwaidaa

Al-Suwaidaa province: As security chaos prevails throughout Syria, reliable sources in south Syria region have informed the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights that a group of residents from the town of al-Qariya in the south-western countryside of al-Suwaidaa and another of clans exchanged fire in the town, but no casualties have been reported. Yesterday, a dispute broke out between a number of civilians in the village of Deir al-Sha’eer in the north-eastern countryside of al-Suwaidaa, which evolved into a armed fire that left one person dead and another injured. However, the reasons behind the clashes have been unknown. In addition, the director of the “Civil Initiative and Reconciliation” committee in al-Suwaidaa sustained injury, after he was shot near al-Basil roundabout in the city yesterday evening.

On May 9, SOHR activists reported armed fight between a group of farmers and another of shepherds, on the outskirts of the town of A’rra in the western countryside of al-Suwaidaa, which resulted in the injury of a shepherd.
According to SOHR sources in the south of Syria, the farmers accused the shepherds of “overgrazing their farmlands”, which led to a dispute that evolved into armed clashes between the two sides.
