“Don’t elect the Zionists’ beloved and the criminal of this age” | Renewed calls for boycotting the presidential election in Daraa

Daraa province: As the presidential election in Syria approaches, popular rejection of this “fake show” is growing, especially in south Syria region. In this context, Syrian Observatory activists have monitored new stickers, posters and graffiti on the walls of various cities, towns and villages in Daraa province, including al-Ajami, Tel Shehab, al-Muzayri’ah, Namer, al-Muzayrib, Ataman and other areas in the northern, western and eastern countryside of Daraa, denouncing the holding of the presidential election and calling for boycotting it. Some of these posters and graffiti read “Don’t elect the Zionists’ beloved – Don’t elect the criminal of this age – Don’t elect the tyrant and the murderer of the Syrians”.

On May 13, SOHR activists documented paper posters and publications stuck by unknown individuals on walls of al-Muzayrib village in west Daraa countryside. The posters called on the inhabitants to boycott the incoming presidential election in Syria. The posters distributed on the roads and stuck on the walls read “don’t give your voice to the man who imprisoned women and children, displaced half of the Syrians, do not elect the Iranian spoiled agent and the ‘lord’ of the explosive barrels. Oh, families of detainees, electing the tyrant means death of your sons.”

While on April 18, SOHR sources reported graffiti against the Syrian regime and the Lebanese Hezbollah left on the walls of Al-Suwaidaa city, some of which read “We advise the gangs of Al-Suwaidaa; you are scapegoat for the security services. Tomorrow, you will be sold in public auction – We are grandsons of the Sultan, and we will never be humiliated – Down with Bashar Al-Assad – Hezbollah is terrorist”.
