In solidarity with people of Um Batna | Demonstration against regime forces in Daraa al-Balad

Daraa province: A demonstration took place in Daraa al-Balad today, in support of the people of Um Batna village in the countryside of al-Quneitra, after regime demanded the displacement of 30 families to north Syria.

Reliable sources in south Syria region had informed SOHR that an initial agreement has been reached between the military security branch on one hand, and the Central Commission in Hawran and some of the area’s dignitaries on the other. The new agreement stipulates for the evacuation of 30 wanted individuals and their families from Um Batna village in al-Quneitra countryside to north Syria in no more five days.

This agreement came a few hours after the arrival of regime military reinforcement in the vicinity of Um Batna village.

On May 2, SOHR activists reported a demonstration in Daraa al-Balad and the city of al-Harak, east of Daraa, on Saturday evening, in solidarity with the people of Um Batna town in the countryside of al-Quneitra, as regime forces besieged and cordoned off the town, after a military post of regime forces in the village of Jabba was attacked.
