Al-Raqqah province: Syrian Observatory sources in the northern countryside of al-Raqqah have reported that a young man died under torture in the prison the Turkish-backed military police in Tel Abyad city. According to SOHR sources, this young man was a former “Emir” (top commander) in ISIS Islamic police during ISIS control of Ma’adan city in the southern countryside of al-Raqqah.

On May 7, reliable sources in “Peace Spring” areas, which are under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies in north-east Syria, reported that clashes erupted in the previous night between the military police and al-Hamzat Division in Ras Al-Ain city (Sere Kaniye) in al-Hasakah countryside. The clashes resulted in the injury of a child after he was hit with an indiscriminate gunshot, and he was taken to the national hospital. According to SOHR sources, the child did not receive the needed care in the hospital, as the medics had started a general strike, protesting delaying salary payments.
