Syrian desert | Russian jets targets ISIS positions in western Deir Ezzor with over 20 airstrikes

SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets have executed over 20 airstrikes since early morning, targeting positions where ISIS fighters holed up in the areas of al-Shawla and Jabal al-Bishri in west Deir Ezzor desert.

Meanwhile, regime forces and their proxy militias continue combing campaigns in different areas of the Syrian desert, searching for ISIS cells, but such campaigns have achieved nothing.

On May 13, SOHR sources reported that Russian jets continued their airstrikes on the Syrian desert, as Syrian Observatory activists reported that Russian jets carried out intensive airstrikes since Thursday dawn, targeting Athria desert in the eastern countryside of Hama and the surrounding areas of Jabal al-Bishri at the administrative borders between al-Raqqah and Deir Ezzor, in an ongoing attempt to put an end to ISIS activity in the region.
